AB CATERING IN PERU WITH CHEF GASTÓN ACURIO
03/01/11 - Founder and owner of AB Catering, is on her way to Peru, for a full month of gastronomy immersion, learning directly from the best: Peruvian Chef Gastón Acurio. Gaston Acurio is an ambassador of Peruvian cuisine. He owns international restaurants and is the author of several books. In Peru he's the host of his own television program and contributes to several magazines.
Gastón Acurio is a true culinary visionary who has put all his effort into rediscovering Peruvian cuisine and offering typical Peruvian meals in a modern and attractive way. He has turned his vision into reality by creating various successful restaurant franchises that focus on a specific category of Peruvian cuisine.
Chef Gastón manages the famous restaurant franchise Astrid & Gastón which opened originally in Lima. This franchise expanded to Latin America and recently in Europe, opening restaurants in Santiago de Chile, Bogotá, Quito, Caracas, Panamá and Madrid. He also owns La Mar, a Cevichería in Lima specializing in Peruvian seafood. This restaurant also opened in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Panama and San Francisco.
The Chef from AB Catering will be with him in March/11, for a full month of learning from the best. She will learn up close how Chef Gastón does his magic with the Peruvian Cuisine.
AB CATERING INVESTS IN GASTRONOMY COURSES - See Pictures!
02/02/07 - Founder and owner of AB Catering, went to Italy to attend a chef course on Italian gastronomy. It was three months of study in Cotiglioli D’Asti, at the Piedmont region, northern Italy. Now, as a graduated chef, she wants to share her experience with those privileged people who may enroll in gastronomy courses within a project to promote gastronomy as an art form. “The courses prepared by AB Catering are not intended to graduate culinary chefs; they are rather intended to ignite the passion for cooking as an art form, which helps making people more sociable”, the chef said.
The initial course, named “Viva Italia Dinner Cooking Class”, presented the Italian gastronomy and was provided by Marco Inglese, considered as “the best” chef at the famous Hotel Locanda Del Sant’Ufizzio, at the Piedmont region. “This is the first of a series of courses scheduled by AB Catering”, said teh Chef, who expects to optimize her kitchen and also use it as a gastronomy school.
Piedmontese people are experts in the art of Italian culinary and gastronomy traditions. For this reason, the course participants learned from Marco the gastronomy secrets of this Italian region and the importance of the region’s typical products, such as extra-virgin olive oil, truffles, milk, cheeses, grapes, and wines.
In this first course, Risotto was the main character. The participants learned and tasted the recipes of a Strawberry Risotto, Porccini & Mushroom Risotto and finally a Red Wine Risotto.

03/01/05 - AB Catering a five-year-old full service catering and event planning company has a lot to be proud of and to make all Brazilian immigrants like her be proud of them.
AB Catering, which already serves breakfast and lunch on a daily basis to Embraer and Microsoft has just expended its client and will now operate four cafeterias for American Express in Broward County.
There were some though competitors but high quality standards and team effort made all the difference.
As of March 1st, two thousand American, Hispanic and Brazilian Executives will be enjoying their lunch while savoring the exquisite flavor of Brazilian Cuisine.
Besides all that AB Catering will continue to provide full service catering and event planning for corporate and social events, galas, weddings and dinner parties of all kinds.

02/11/05 - AB Catering just renewed its services agreement with Microsoft for 2 more years. AB Catering provides Microsoft with catering in its cafeterias and special events.
